Preston – Hull betting preview and advices
Thanks to a convincing victory on the road in the last round, the Lilywhites came closer to the playoff zone and now they are only three points from the sixth-placed Fulham. Certainly, the chances of a promotion seem low, because Preston have faced competition from Middlesbrough, Bristol City, Cardiff, Aston Villa and Fulham, which, frankly, seem to be stronger clubs. However, if the hosts continue get points at this rate, they may well get embroiled in struggle for promotion. Preston are hard to beat team, because since November they have lost only one game of the last thirteen, and it was a defeat against solid Middlesbrough. It is worth noting that the hosts have one serious problem – they do not look good enough at Deepdale, having only the 14th home record in the league, while they are among the best away teams. Anyway, today, Preston have an excellent opportunity to take three points, as Hull City comes to visit, the team which is among the three worst league visitors with just five points in 14 outings.

Preston have showed the highest-level football this week and, despite the large number of draws, is still a tough nut to crack at Deepdale, because they suffered only three home defeats in the season. While the Lilywhites by leaps and bounds come nearer to the playoff zone, the Tigers continue their fall. With only 26 points, they are just above the relegation zone, ahead of Bolton just because of the best goal difference. In June, following the dismissal of Marco Silva, the club was headed by Leonid Slutsky, but he failed to meet the hopes and in December, Nigel Atkins took the helm, and once again, it had not yielded any results! If two changes in leadership cannot shake the Tigers, then probably they are doomed to relegate… Only one win in the last 16 rounds is really sad record… This year, the guests have not won yet and got only four points in their last eight games, failing to score in seven! Hull had enormous difficulties in the attack, as they managed to score only in one of their last seven outings. Perhaps today the guests` forwards remember why they were called ‘tigers’ and finally will find the net, but still lose this clash, because they just are no match for the hosts.
